My name is Sheila Byrne, Hope St CEO and Co-Founder of the mental health and wellbeing organisation.
I suffered a nervous breakdown in 2016, which led to Dom & I to open Ormskirk Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Organisation in May 2018.
Because of my own experiences with mental health disorders, I am extremely passionate about ensuring people don’t reach a point of despair that I experienced. I fully respect and understand from a lived-experience perspective what you are feeling and the symptoms you may be demonstrating.
As a highly qualified teacher with an expertise in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), I write and deliver courses around mental health, which have been successful in helping individuals prevent crisis, aid recovery and sustain mental health and wellbeing.
I believe that every member of Hope St. should have their say in what services they have access to, so I go above and beyond to source and invite services that will aid recovery.
I am the main point of contact for members and potential attendees; therefore, any responses to email or telephone will come from myself and will be treated with your utmost respect and confidentiality.
If you do need an informal chat, then you can find our details at the foot of every page.
